Origins and History

Combattivo made it’s  first step into the streetwear culture but more precisely focused on action sports in 2019 when it was officially founded in London, United Kingdom. In the early begging the brand was not how it is nowadays with so many athletes / influencers and a big variety of products and content. Back then was very hard to find someone to collaborate with and mostly of people were very sceptical and disinterested in joining  our brand due to our limited following, little content on social medias and just few products available. Careless we kept going fueled by the true passion for clothing and action sports and we decided to start working hard and smartly in order to fill up the gap between action sports and the clothing industry.

 

 

The above photo shows our first edition of the ” LOGO SNAPBACK ” an amazing product realised with 3D puff / flat embroidery technique that boosted the design of our minimalistic logo. We always wanted to invest in originality and quality these were our main characteristics that we kept developing. Our strategy was to differentiate ourself from the 99% of other brands and be the 1%. We came out with a new brand’s concept that was able to bring to the table something fresh and appealing at the same time because besides loving the action sports industry we also noticed that was missing a clothing brand that was talking about all action sports and not just the mainstream ones like skateboard and surf. We thought to give voice to another myriad of action sports out there and to create this exotic and innovative company that was able to make action sport’s related products but mostly to try to talk about all of em. From now was born Combattivo !

 

Logo & Etymology

Our company’s name comes from the italian language ” Combattivo ” and translate ” Combattive ” in english. It’s a word that talk about the spirit that anyone has to have in sport and life as well in order to achieve any goal he / she is pursuing to. The logo was designed in black and white in order to keep it elegance and authoritative at the same time and regarding the shape we decided to use a ” combined logo style ” with the symbol and naming below and use a spiked ” C ” that mimics a shark’s bite symbol of power and speed.

 

 

Products

Combattivo makes different kind of products that goes from tops to accessories. We drop our first collection in 2019 with just black and white products like t-shirts, pullover hoodies and hats then passing in 2021 to accessories like chest bags and keychains. One of our most requested products if not the most requested one we can say that was the chest bag because we noticed that was a product in high demand among the youth particularly in the ” wheelie bike ” movement ” so we made a very sporty and quality chest bag with waterproof zipper. Regarding our ” tops ” we always tend to make action sports’s themed designs from logo design, to provocative artworks that can’t pass unnoticed in the street wear scene. Screen printing has been always our n.1 choice in terms of manufacturing technology that’s because it’s long lasting-longevity very different from entry level choices like heat transfer paper.

 

Advertising

We started advertising Combattivo just with social Medias like Facebook, Instagram and YouTube but mostly Instagram that we can say without any doubt that it’s always been the favourite channel of our target audience. We don’t just advertise online but we sponsor many athletes as well from different action sports that compete in sport’s events globally nationally / internationally like kayaking, bmx and skateboard.
